Stuart:
Hi, I’m Stuart, this is Gemma. We’ve been with Ernest Grant for four years now, and we are managed by Paul.
We’d found that the difficulty with me running my own business or running our businesses was that we weren’t really saving for the future, we were living for the now, making use of everything we were earning money-wise and living by that. We knew that we’d got money, and we were then ready to do something with it, so we needed some advice about pensions and investments.
Gemma
I felt we managed our finances on a day-to-day basis – okay, but I was a bit worried about the future. There was basically no planning going on in terms of pensions or investments for the future, and I didn’t have the confidence to do it myself; I felt that help was needed.
Stuart
Ernest Grant was recommended to us by our accountant, and we had our first initial meeting with Paul. He was very straightforward, understanding of our situation, and from my point of view, he made how they work and what he could do for us very approachable.
Gemma
I would say I have complete peace of mind now, and I feel relaxed about it. I’ve gone from the unknown and lack of confidence to a real feeling of “That bit is sorted”, and that’s a really nice position to be in.
Stuart
To describe Paul in three words, I would say he is reassuring, approachable, and has a positive outlook, a positive mindset.
Gemma
I think the best piece of advice that Paul has given us is to relax about it. To keep doing what we’re doing, investing the money that we have and let it do its thing, and play the long game and just relax knowing that we’ve got our future in hand.
For me, one of the best things about working with Paul and his whole team is how efficient and professional they are. If they say they’ll do something, they’ve done it immediately. I think, nowadays, we’re so used to being disappointed with services, and it’s a refreshing change to work with people like that.
Stuart
I feel very reassured now we’ve been working with Paul and the team at Ernest Grant for the last four years, because I can see what’s going on with our hard-earned money. I can see where it’s going, how it’s growing, and where it’s being invested for our future.
Gemma
I would 100% recommend Paul and the whole team at Ernest Grant to work with anybody that I know. In fact, I did recommend my mum, who is also a client as well. I just think there’s complete trust, complete peace of mind, and they’re absolute, true professionals and brilliant at what they do.
